In 1946, Foster R. Orr (1915-1979) was awarded his first contract, an addition and remodeling project for Denver’s American Die and Box Company. From this initial individual effort, F.R. Orr Construction Company became one of the largest general contractors in the United States.
Beginning as a laborer and carpenter, Foster learned through first hand experience what it takes to build successfully. In addition to Foster, his wife Leona Orr (1914-2004) was a highly talented business women in her own right and was a key to the success of F.R. Orr Construction Company.
Both Foster and Leona believed that integrity, honesty and commitment were the key to any successful project. These values have been passed on and continue to be lived each and everyday.
